		<description>Of course the EPA knows none of this is possible.  It&#039;s just a backhanded way to further tax the industry, and frankly, the average consumer doesn&#039;t care, nor want to understand.  I applaud the company for sharing it&#039;s perspectives on these issues.  Making this a logical, non-political discussion needs this kind of upfront dialog</description>

It seems the WSJ agrees.

Congress subsidized a product that didn&#039;t exist, mandated its purchase though it still didn&#039;t exist, is punishing oil companies for not buying the product that doesn&#039;t exist, and is now doubling down on the subsidies in the hope that someday it might exist. We&#039;d call this the march of folly, but that&#039;s unfair to fools.&quot;

The 8.65 million gallon requirement is actually a retraction from the 500 million gallons that the pathologically delusional EPA had mandated for 2012 .  
Even then,  the claimed  6.6 million gallons of cellulosic ethanol for last year&#039;s mandate was actually made from petroleum feedstock??</description>
